Die UK-Scheibe ist leider voller Lücken – an vielen Stellen wurden die Untertitel einfach weggelassen, und das zieht sich durch den gesamten Film.
Hinzu kommt, dass die vorhandenen Untertitel auf der italienischen Synchro basieren, jedoch stark gekürzt und teilweise deutlich vereinfacht wurden.

Da mein innerer Monk bei so etwas einfach keine Ruhe gibt, bedeutet das für mich mal wieder: alles von Grund auf neu aufarbeiten.
Jeder einzelne Untertitel wird aktuell mit dem italienischen Original abgeglichen, damit am Ende alles sauber und stimmig ist.
Erst im Anschluss kann darauf eine vernünftige deutsche Übersetzung entstehen.

Natürlich könnten wir es uns leicht machen und einfach die englischen und
deutschen Untertitel der jeweiligen Veröffentlichungen 1:1 übernehmen – aber ganz ehrlich: Das würde mich wahnsinnig machen.

Genauso ein Bumms mit Toxic Avenger. Aufgrund des Remakes will Troma für alle Klassiker und Serie zusammen fast ne 6-stellige Summe. Total absurd. Da kannst du dir in Deutschland gleich nen Grab schaufeln. Es gibt da draußen auch wieder ein paar Vögel, welche die Lizenzpreise nach oben triben - weil sie den Titel unbedingt wollen. Dachte das wäre nach EMS endlich Geschichte. Ich hatte jetzt seit Wochen ne Verhandlung zu RABID ... der für Deutschland eigentlich durch ist. Mit 4K-Master fast 20k für einen Film, den du mittlerweile für 6,99 bekommst, weil er ja aktuell soch Hype ist wegen 4K. Das Geld bekommst du NIEMALS WIEDER REIN.

Lese auch international immer wieder von Rechteinhabern die enorme Summen verlangen, Geld welches man selbst im englischsprachigen Markt nie und nimmer reinkriegt. Werde ich nie verstehen warum diese Leute nicht nüchtern auf den Markt schauen können und auf Augenhöhe mit den potentiellen Partnern arbeiten um einen für beide Seiten sinnvollen Mittelweg zu finden. Stattdessen sitzt man lieber auf einem toten Lizenzberg, verlangt Umsummen und macht am Ende des Tages gar nichts damit.
Wenn jetzt auch noch die Labels dazukommen die sich gegenseitig ausstechen wollen werden die ja nur in ihrer Vorgehensweise bestätigt...ohje.

Nein, der Film lief in den USA und Australien wieder auf Festivals und im Kino. Wohl auch ziemlich gute Abverkaufzahlen usw. Nur die verstehen nicht, dass dee Film in Deutschland einfach nicht so ein Stellenwert hat.
