Ryan Hurst wird in der Serie doch nicht als Kratos zu sehen sein. Er hat sich vor kurzem während der Dreharbeiten zur Serie einen Bizepssehnenriss zugezogen und musste operiert werden. Die komplette Heilung kann bis zu einem Jahr dauern. So lange will Amazon die Produktion wohl nicht aufschieben, weshalb die Rolle jetzt neu gecastet wird. Im Oktober soll es dann mit den Dreharbeiten weiter gehen. Es wurden seit Februar vier Episoden gedreht. Die Episoden müssen jetzt wohl größtenteils neu gedreht werden.

With the co-lead, Atreus, played by a child actor, Callum Vinson, it would be hard to use much of the existing footage as kids grow up fast.
